Terms & Conditions

All bookings require a 50% deposit to secure the appointment date, time, services and allocated artist.

• Deposits are non-refundable for change of mind or client-initiated cancellation, except where required by law.
• Deposits are non-transferable to another date or booking unless otherwise approved in writing.
• Artist availability cannot be guaranteed until the required deposit has been received.
• Bookings are not confirmed until the required payment has been received and the booking has been accepted.

For online bookings made seven or more days in advance, the deposit must be paid within 24 hours of the payment request.

For bookings made less than seven days in advance, the deposit must be paid within 12 hours of the payment request.

Unpaid bookings may be automatically cancelled if payment is not received by the required deadline.

The remaining 50% balance is due no later than 48 hours before the scheduled appointment.

For bookings made within 48 hours of the appointment, full payment is required at the time of confirmation.

All outstanding payments must be completed before services commence.

Failure to make payment by the required deadline may result in cancellation, with applicable cancellation charges determined in accordance with these terms and Australian Consumer Law.

Prices are quoted in Australian dollars (AUD), inclusive of GST where applicable.

All client-requested changes must be made at least 30 days before the scheduled booking date.

This includes changes to:

• Booking dates or appointment times
• Number of people receiving services
• Hair or makeup services booked
• Getting-ready locations
• Artist requirements
• Any other arrangements affecting the original booking

Changes requested 30 or more days before the appointment are subject to approval, artist availability and any applicable fees.

Once a booking is within 30 days of the scheduled appointment, the confirmed booking is considered final.

Within 30 days, clients cannot reduce, cancel, postpone, transfer or reschedule booked services as of right.

Any exceptions must be approved in writing by Alysha Maree Makeup.

Requests for booking changes must be submitted in writing.

For weddings and large group bookings, artists and appointment times are reserved based on the confirmed number of services.

Once a booking is within 30 days of the appointment, the original services remain committed.

If a client wishes to remove one or more services:

• The original booking value may remain payable, subject to applicable cancellation law and the reasonable losses arising from the change.
• Clients may request to replace a person who can no longer attend with another person receiving the same booked service.
• Replacement services must fit within the original schedule and artist allocation.
• Any substitutions must be approved by Alysha Maree Makeup.
• Any additional services, artist hours or travel requirements may incur further charges.

Cancellation or reduction of services within 30 days does not automatically entitle the client to a refund or credit.

Cancellation charges may be up to 100% of the affected services where lawful and proportionate to the loss reasonably arising from the cancellation.

Cancellations made 30 or more days before the booking

The 50% deposit is generally non-refundable for change of mind.

If additional payments have been made, Alysha Maree Makeup may offer the remaining eligible amount as a booking credit, subject to applicable law.

Cancellations made within 30 days of the booking

Bookings are considered final and the reserved services remain subject to the agreed cancellation charges.

Clients are not automatically entitled to a change-of-mind refund or booking credit.

Cancellation charges may be up to 100% of the booking value where lawful and proportionate to the reasonable loss resulting from cancellation, including committed artist costs and the inability to reallocate reserved appointments.

Any outstanding lawful cancellation charges remain payable.

Nothing in this clause removes a client's statutory refund or other remedy rights.

Where Alysha Maree Makeup approves a credit for a client-initiated booking change or cancellation:

• The credit will be recorded against the client's account.
• Approved discretionary booking credits do not expire.
• Credits may be used towards a future booking, subject to availability.
• Credits cannot be exchanged for cash for a change-of-mind cancellation.
• Credits cannot be transferred to another person without written approval.
• A future booking may attract different service prices or travel fees.

Where Australian Consumer Law requires a refund or other remedy, the client's statutory rights take precedence over this credit policy.

A 20% public holiday surcharge applies to the full booking value, including services, travel fees and applicable add-ons, for appointments scheduled on a public holiday.

The surcharge will be added to the booking through Fresha and communicated to the client before confirmation.

Public holidays are determined by the location where services are provided.

Bookings requiring an artist to commence services before 6:00 am will incur an early call-out fee.

The published early call-out fees are:

• Before 6:00 am: $104 per artist
• Before 4:30 am: $204 per artist

Only the applicable early call-out rate is charged per artist, rather than both rates.

Clients booking directly online through Fresha must select the appropriate Early Call-Out add-on if their booking requires an artist to commence before 6:00 am.

If the client fails to select the applicable add-on, Alysha Maree Makeup will notify the client and arrange for the required early call-out fee to be added to the booking.

Early call-out bookings remain subject to artist availability and confirmation.

Travel fees are calculated based on the client's location and the allocated artist.

Standard travel fees start from $64 within applicable service zones.

For locations outside the standard service zones, additional travel fees may apply, calculated at $1 per kilometre for the return journey, where applicable.

Travel fees may change if the client's location changes or if the allocated artist changes.

Any additional travel fees will be communicated to the client, and changes requiring further payment must be agreed before confirmation.

Clients must provide the complete getting-ready address at least 48 hours before the scheduled booking.

All parking expenses, including hotel parking, paid parking and valet fees, are the client's responsibility and must be paid on the day of the appointment.

Bridal trials are separate booked services and are payable in accordance with the agreed payment terms.

Trial payments are non-refundable for change of mind.

If a client decides not to proceed with their wedding booking following a trial, the applicable wedding booking cancellation policy still applies.

Additional trials with alternative artists are subject to availability and additional charges.

Trial appointments do not guarantee wedding-day availability until the wedding booking has been confirmed.

Clients are responsible for providing accurate booking information, including their full address, contact details, parking arrangements and required ready time.

Clients must:

• Be ready for services at their scheduled appointment time.
• Provide a clean, suitable and well-lit working area.
• Ensure hair is completely dry unless a blow-dry service has been booked.
• Advise us in advance of hair extensions, particularly long or thick hair, and any specialist styling requirements.
• Inform us of relevant allergies, sensitivities or contagious conditions before their appointment.
• Ensure access to the property and parking is available at the agreed arrival time.

Failure to meet preparation requirements may result in delays, reduced service time or additional charges, where reasonable and lawful.

Appointment durations are allocated based on the services booked.

Clients must provide their required ready time in advance. Services will be scheduled to aim for completion by that time.

Late arrivals or delays caused by the client may affect the services that can be completed within the allocated appointment time.

Artists will make reasonable efforts to complete the booked services, but additional time cannot be guaranteed.

Where an artist is delayed, Alysha Maree Makeup will make reasonable efforts to ensure that services are completed as agreed.

Any service failure or material delay will be addressed in accordance with Australian Consumer Law.

Additional charges may apply to services or requirements not included in the original confirmed booking.

• Hair drying from wet to dry: $64
• Extra-long hair: from $54
• Frizzy or curly hair: $54
• Early call-outs: applicable fee per artist
• Travel outside standard service zones
• Additional services or artist time

Clients must select all applicable services and add-ons when booking online.

Any additional charges must be communicated and agreed before the additional service is provided.

Current prices displayed and confirmed at the time of booking will apply, subject to any subsequently agreed changes.

Alysha Maree Makeup works with professional hair and makeup artists across Australia.

Artist allocations are made according to availability, service requirements and booking locations.

For bookings made more than 12 months in advance, artist allocations may need to be reviewed closer to the appointment date.

If an artist becomes unavailable due to illness, emergency or unforeseen circumstances, Alysha Maree Makeup will make reasonable efforts to arrange a suitably qualified replacement artist.

Clients will be informed of material changes to their booking.

Where a suitable replacement cannot be arranged, the matter will be resolved in accordance with the agreed booking terms and Australian Consumer Law.

Clients must advise Alysha Maree Makeup of any allergies, skin sensitivities, medical conditions relevant to the services or previous adverse reactions.

Patch testing may be requested where appropriate and available.

Artists may refuse or discontinue a service if there is a reasonable health or safety concern.

Examples of contagious conditions may include active cold sores, conjunctivitis, head lice or contagious skin infections.

Any applicable cancellation fees will be assessed according to the circumstances and applicable law.

Alysha Maree Makeup will provide services with reasonable care and skill and does not exclude liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Clients are encouraged to raise any concerns during their appointment so the artist has an opportunity to make adjustments wherever practicable.

Concerns raised after the appointment will be reviewed fairly.

Any applicable refund, repeat service or other remedy will be considered in accordance with Australian Consumer Law.

Inspiration photographs and reference images are used as a guide to the client's preferred hair or makeup style.

Results may vary depending on hair condition, hair length, skin type, facial features, existing cosmetic treatments and product compatibility.

Artists will make reasonable efforts to achieve the agreed look using their professional skills and judgement.

Alysha Maree Makeup may request permission to photograph or film completed services for portfolio, website, advertising or social media purposes.

Clients may decline photography or marketing use.

Clients should advise the artist if they do not wish to be photographed or filmed.

Artists must be provided with a safe, respectful and reasonably hygienic working environment.

Alysha Maree Makeup reserves the right to refuse, suspend or discontinue services where there is threatening, abusive, discriminatory or unsafe conduct.

Any cancellation charges or refunds will be assessed according to the circumstances and applicable law.

In the event of extreme weather, natural disasters, government restrictions, serious illness or other circumstances beyond reasonable control, Alysha Maree Makeup will make reasonable efforts to discuss suitable alternative arrangements.

Where appropriate, this may include a replacement artist, alternative date, booking credit or refund.

Any outcome will be subject to the circumstances, applicable contract law and Australian Consumer Law.

Clients under 18 years of age must have the consent of a parent or legal guardian to receive services.

A responsible adult may be required to be present during an appointment involving a minor.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes, restricts or modifies rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.

This includes consumer guarantees relating to services being supplied with due care and skill, being fit for an agreed purpose and being supplied within a reasonable time where applicable.

Any cancellation fee, retained deposit or booking credit arrangement remains subject to these legal rights.

By accepting a booking, paying a deposit or confirming an appointment through Alysha Maree Makeup or Fresha, the client agrees to the Terms & Conditions presented and accepted at the time of booking.

Any approved amendments to a confirmed booking must be documented in writing.

These Terms & Conditions apply prospectively to new bookings made after publication. Existing bookings remain subject to the terms agreed when they were confirmed, unless the parties agree otherwise.

All booking enquiries, change requests, cancellations and correspondence must be submitted in writing.
